New:
New product is normally in original manufacturer packaging and is factory sealed. New product is generally overstock, end of life or manufacturer discontinued. A small percentage may be demonstration models and are in open box non-factory sealed packaging. Packaging should be intact on nearly all of the units; however through normal returns handling a small percentage may have distressed packaging including third party labels.
Refurbished:
Refurbished product has been restored to the original equipment manufacturers normal operating specifications. Most Refurbished product has undergone testing, cleaning and repackaging to ensure it is in resalable condition. Cosmetic appearance is the primary difference between Refurbished units. Where possible, we try to denote these cosmetic differences in the Item Details section as A, B or C grade.
Returns:
Returns products are units that have been sold to an end user and are returned. In most cases, no testing or repairs have been attempted on these items. The packaging will be in various states including: opened, distressed and/or missing. There will be units lacking components and/or accessories. Returns products most likely function or retain some functionality from the original equipment manufacturers specifications.
Tech Grade:
Tech Grade product most likely does NOT function according to the original equipment manufacturers specifications. There are no guarantees to the overall usefulness or functionality of this product. Packaging is either absent or in non-resalable shape. Tech Grade products normally have some value in the form of their parts yielding complete and/or functional units.
Mixed:
Mixed products are a combination of two or more of the following conditions: New, Returns, Tech Grade and Refurbished. When possible, we will indicate the approximate percentage of each type of product represented in the mix.
